Sardine balls tajine with tomato sauce
Sardines are quite present at south Atlantic sea of Morocco .
In my neighborhood in Agadir every morning around 10H a fisher man on motorbike comes around shouting ( sardines on and on), i open my door house and call him to check the quality, fresh i would take immediately some straight to my kitchen.
Here is what i do after ☺
Ingredients:
For the sauce;
- 3 fresh tomatos
- 1 t.s concentrated tomato
-2 gloves garlic
- 1 oignon
- if spicy bit of Harissa or chili
- 1/2 cup water
- bit of olive oil and papper
Fish Sardine balls;
- 500 g Sardines
- 2 cloves garlic
- lot ot of parsley and coriander
- 1 t.s olive oil
- Salt / paper/ paprika
To make the balls, you need to blend those ingredients together until minced, than roll the ball and add them to the tomato sauce cooked few minutes a head.
In morocco, it s cooked in tajine pan served with bread, some veggies such as carrots, potatoes are added to the sauce.
You can also have it as pasta sauce with spaguetti or with rize.
Fish sardines vertus:
- full of proteines, lipides, omega 3, vitamiens D end B12, Zinc, Selenium, Iron, Phosphor and Calcium.
°preventing for cardiovascular and inflammatory problems.
° due to it's hormone regulation, it helps with depression.
°good for brain fonctioning and developement, recommanded during bregnancy and growth.
° Antioxident and anti aging.
